PhD student in Multicatalysis with Metal-Organic Frameworks

A PhD position is offered in the group of Prof. Miguel Rivero-Crespo at Stockholm University. The candidate will work on the design, synthesis and characterization of multifunctional Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) as catalysts for sustainable organic chemistry. This project is highly interdisciplinary combining organic chemistry, materials science and catalysis. As part of our research group, the candidate will benefit from working in a great institution with excellent facilities and infrastructure.

The main tasks include: 1) Synthesis and characterization of heterogenous catalysts based on porous materials (MOFs). 2) Study of their catalytic activity in organic reactions. 3) In-situ and/or operando investigations. 4) Comparison with benchmark homogeneous systems.
