Postdoctoral Position. CatSyNanoMat group

EC funded position in the framework of a collaborative consortium including 7 EU partners and 1 USA partner. The offer is for a one-year contract (with the possibility to renew for a second and third year) starting in November 2022 in the CatSyNanoMat group in the Chemistry Department of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) for the project «Synthesis of hybrid materials for light induced water splitting based on sol-gel techniques». The work will involve (i) synthesis of discrete organic and inorganic molecules decorated with silylated groups that will be used as precursors to hybrid metal oxides through sol-gel techniques, (ii) preparation of metallic nanoparticles in collaboration with SelOxCat group of the Chemistry Department of UAB, (iii) preparation of thin films with the resulting hybrid materials and (iii) water splitting catalytic tests.
