A postdoctoral position is available in the area of Biomolecular-based nanosensors at CIC biomaGUNE. The project is in the framework of the European FET-Open project DeDNAed (GA 964248) entitled “Cluster decorated DNA origami for enhanced raman spectroscopic detection methods” focused on the development of an innovative DNA-origami based biosensing platform with high degree a of flexibility in the area of application, from medical technology to food monitoring. The project involves the design and synthesis of hybrid nanoprobes by the incoporation of metal nanoclusters and semiconducting nanoparticles within DNA-based recognition elements and antibodies. The candidate will work in interdisciplinary and international environment on the design, synthesis and characterization of sensing elements (antibodies, DNA probes, and DNA aptamers) and their modification with nanomaterials.
