A Postdoctoral position is available as a collaborative project between the groups Prof. Aitziber L. Cortajarena (Biomolecular Nanotechnology Lab at CIC biomaGUNE) and Dr. Ivan Rivilla and Prof. Fernando Cossío (Química Bioorgánica, Química Supramolecular y Modelización Molecular group at DIPC). This project will be focused on the development and evaluation of new protein-based catalysts through computational design and experimental protein engineering approaches.
The candidate will design new proteins systems using supercomputers such as ATLAS (DIPC) and executing programs that require a high calculation power, such as GROMACS, Gaussian, Caterpillar, ROSETTA, AlphaFold, or Maestro-Schrödinger. The candidate will apply computational approaches to design proteins Ab-initio, employing the latest advances in computational protein design (ATLAS-DIPC). These proteins will be later tested experimentally for the catalysis of a large number of reactions in different environments. These new protein designs will be prepared in the lab by Prof. Cortajarena and will be tested in the Química Bioorgánica, Química Supramolecular y Modelización Molecular group (QBQSMM)
