Researcher position at the Group of Photochemistry and Electrochemistry of Semiconductors

An R1 researcher position is available at the Department of Physical Chemistry in the Universidad de Alicante (UA), “Group of Photochemistry and Electrochemistry of Semiconductors” (GFES), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities research project “Development of electrochemical technologies for energy conversion and storage: hybrid solar redox flow batteries and reversible electrolyzers” (Code: PID2024-162784OB-I00). The main tasks of the PhD candidate will include research collaboration within the project, leading to a PhD in Materials Science. The multidisciplinary project involves tasks spanning from (photoactive) materials preparation and characterization, testing their (photo)electrochemical performance as electrodes, and the assembly of pre-pilot devices (low TRL) for the performance assessment of materials in solar redox flow batteries and/or reversible electrolyzers.
