Technician Mechanical Workshop

The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Technician to work in the Mechanical Workshop, within the Scientific Core Facilities. The ICIQ’s Mechanical Workshop provides technical support to ICIQ research groups and external users through the design, prototyping, fabrication, assembly, maintenance and repair of mechanical components and customized experimental setups. The Mechanical Workshop works closely with researchers to transform technical and scientific needs into practical solutions. Its activities include conventional machining and additive manufacturing using a range of materials, such as SS, Teflon, aluminum, polymers…) as well as the assembly of customized setups. Besides this, the mechanical workshop also provides technical support for the maintenance, repair and improvement of small laboratory equipment.
