PhD Position in Biopolymeric Materials

A 3-year PhD position is available within BIOpolymeryc MATerials (BIOMAT) at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) under the supervision of Prof. Koro de la Caba, in the field of bio-based polymeric materials. The project aims to develop new bio-based products for food and health-related applications following the One Health strategy. The research will focus on the valorization of bio-based waste to extract biopolymers (polysaccharides) and bioactives and the optimization of the processing conditions to develop films or porous membranes, assessing the environmental impact associated to the products and the processes.
