The Tortosa group at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid is seeking for a PhD candidate to work in the field of homogenous catalysis. The PhD student will focus on the development of novel asymmetric transition metal catalyzed transformations using organoboron compounds and CO2 to prepare enantioenriched building blocks in a sustainable way. The project will be conducted under the supervision of Prof. Mariola Tortosa and Dr. Jaime Martín.
Requirements: completed or close to completed MSc in Chemistry, background in the field of Organic and/or Organometallic chemistry, experience in the analysis of organic compounds (especially NMR methods), experience in synthetic molecular chemistry under inert gas and good knowledge of English.
