PhD position: Development of Nanomaterials for Cancer Imaging

The Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) offers a 4-year predoctoral position to join the group of Nanoparticles & Nanocomposites under the supervision of Dr. Juan Pellico. The successful candidate will join the NN research group to develop nanomaterials for imaging blood flow dynamics in cancer using nuclear imaging techniques. This position involves pursuing a PhD thesis under the supervision of Dr. Pellico as part of the project «NanoFLOW” funded by the European Research Council (ERC-CoG2025). This project aims to develop smart imaging agents based on single particle tracers to image alterations of the blood flow dynamics in cancer by positron emission particle tracking.
