Postdoctoral position. UBIQUIP project

The Orosa group at CIQUS is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to join in the UBIQUIP project (PID2024-163085OB-I00). The project focuses on the development of engineering biosynthetic pathways to fine-tune immune responses in plants through the design and implementation of light-activated enzymatic systems. This research aims to extend the synthetic capabilities of enzymes by introducing activities not found in nature, with a strong emphasis on real-world applications in food security and sustainability. In particular, the project contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger, by developing innovative strategies to mitigate crop disease and reduce agricultural losses.
